I personally do not ride fixed freestyle. I do have mad respect for these riders though. It takes a lot of hard work and skill to be able to bust the madness they do. So I like to watch these videos. And spread the good word of 700cmx, 32cc, and 26in goodness.
These cats right here are from Philly. I really like the soundtrack and the way it was shot. The whole thing flows pretty well. The video is... how shall I put it? Very Philly.

I have never seen this kind of cinematography in BMX video. I would love to be able to make videos like this one day. The angles, panning, color, editing and everything else in between is pro. Plus the biking is crazy! Those jumps to rollers to burms! Burms, rollers, to jumps! Come on, its madness! Respect to all those who put this together. I want to see more of this art!

ALLEY CAT RACE

Iminusd is having an Alley Cat race this Satuday at 6pm. It is at night so they are encouraging everyone to have a helmet and lights! DUH!! If you are going out racing at night, in busy downtown San Jose, you best be prepared!! Seriously folks, I cant stress enough the importance of being safe.Sign in as at 6pm. Race starts at the store at 7pm. I might go out and try to get some photos. It sounds like a good time.

Everyday we are all faced with danger. It is something that we just deal with on a day to day basis. We go about the day on auto pilot never having to think about our surroundings.
For those who commute on bikes or skateboards it is a different story. Every moment we spend on the road we have to be on high alert. Bicyclists and skaters are completely exposed to the elements that drivers do not have to worry about.
Please, please be cautious when you are driving. You can not see us on our bikes and that is something that we have to deal with. You will never stop to think if there is a biker around.
Every single time I ride my bike I tell myself, “All these drivers are out to kill me. It is up to me to watch out for them." This type of thinking has kept me from dying and getting in an accident. PAY ATTENTION COMMUTERS. Let’s share the road.

Bicyclist Dies in Collision with AC Transit Bus

A bicyclist, trying to avoid one collision, got into another and ended up dead after he ran into an AC Transit bus Wednesday afternoon, according to the transit agency.


The accident occurred a little after 4:30 p.m. on MacArthur Boulevard near Patterson Avenue in Oakland, said AC Transit spokesman Clarence Johnson.

The cyclist and a bus on the NX line were traveling in the same direction when the cyclist apparently tried to steer away from a car door as it was opening. He ended up striking the door, bounced off and struck a rear wheel of the bus, Johnson said.

The bus driver said she was unaware of what happened and drove for about a block until she was alerted - perhaps by a boarding passenger - that the cyclist was down, Johnson said.

He said the driver was distraught. As is policy, the veteran driver will be tested automatically for drugs and alcohol.

The identity of the male victim was not immediately available.

Pantone Monster Boxes

This is just the begining of Mat Reyes project. He is a really talented artist. I am really feeling the whole project so far. The monsters symbology is great. And of course the photography is really well done. I love the how he used hardwood backround; it creates great contrast. This is what he had to say. A few photos of my monster boxes for pantone. Each one represents a shape, as well as one of the pantone colors. The glow effect they gave off made them pretty interesting to shoot. I'll have more to post about this project later.

Skate Jam and Trick Comp.

I am beat! i have been up all day running around taking photos and having a lot of fun. First stop was the Gilroy Skate Jam. A lot of Bmx riders and Skaters came out. Plus live music. Impulsive Passions and Sam May performed. They played some good mellow tunes. After I went over to San Jose to catch a little bit of the Trick Comp held by the boys over at IMINUSD. There was a good turn out of competitors and spectators. They were bustin some crazy moves! Big Ups to Squeaks for winning. All the photos should be up tommorow night. I am busy now so you will only get a sneek peek.

Coachella

So last month I went to Coachella A music festival out in Indio, Ca. If you dont know about Coachella, then you probably dont know about life. It is one of the biggest and best music events in Northern California, if not the world. I took a lot of photos just around the campsite. I havent had time to edit them all, but the final product is coming soon. So here is a sneak peek.

I just recieved this video from my father. I know we pass up photo montages most of the time. I liked this one because it it shows the Real Puerto Ricans. This is what my dad had to say.
This video brought back a lot of memories of when we were little in Puerto Rico: the sewing of tobacco leaves, the sugar cane, the radio up high on a shelf etc. Hope you enjoy it.
